Set your interview availability
Set the weekly hours and timezone you're available for interviews, so booking links offer the right slots.
What it is
Your availability is the weekly hours (and timezone) you're open for interviews. It powers booking links - when a candidate self-schedules, they only see slots inside your availability (and around your calendar's busy times). It's under Settings → Interviews.
Business plan. On other plans the row shows a lock (tooltip "Available in Business plan only") and an Upgrade button instead of the editor; the nudge reads "Interview scheduling is available in Business plan."
Connect first
Availability needs a connected Google Calendar. Before connecting, the Availability section reads "No calendar connected. Binary never reads events it didn't create." and shows a Connect Google Calendar button. Once connected, the section becomes Interview availability and shows "Connected calendar: {your email}".
In Settings → Interviews, the Interview availability row shows a Connect calendar button until your calendar is linked. When you connect it from here, the availability editor opens automatically so you can set your hours right away. Once connected, that button reads Manage and reopens the editor.
Set it
- Go to Settings → Interviews.
- For each weekday, flip the day's toggle on and set one or more time ranges (a new
day defaults to 09:00–17:00).
- + Add slot adds another range to that day.
- The Copy times to icon opens a day picker - tick days and Apply to copy that day's hours across them.
- Delete a range with its trash icon (the first range has no trash; turn the whole day off instead).
- Overlapping ranges show "Slots overlap" in red and won't save until fixed.
- Set your Time zone at the bottom.
Changes save automatically (a short debounce after you stop editing). A tooltip notes "Existing events on your calendar will automatically be hidden from the available time slots shown to candidates."
Your availability is personal (each interviewer sets their own) and is combined with your connected Google Calendar's free/busy when offering booking-link slots.
Notes & limits
- Business plan required, and a Google Calendar must be connected for the editor to appear.
- Availability feeds booking links (Send a booking link); for a fixed-time interview you pick the slot yourself (Schedule an interview).
- Overlapping time ranges block autosave - clear the "Slots overlap" warning first.
