Notifications
Control notifications about candidate replies on a form, and your personal Daily brief by email or Slack.
What it is
Binary can notify you when activity happens - a candidate replying on a form, plus a personal daily digest - so you don't have to keep checking. Reply notifications are set per form, in the form's Form settings. The daily digest is set in your own Settings.
Reply notifications (per form)
In a form's Form settings:
- "Notify when candidates reply" - "Receive emails when candidates reply. Not applicable for archived candidates." When it's on, replies from that form's candidates email the team. Replies from archived candidates are skipped. When more than one person will be notified, you can pick who from the recipient list in that setting's description.
Turn this off on any form to stop reply emails for it (see Form settings).
Daily brief (per person)
In Settings → the General tab, your "Daily brief" gives you "an AI-generated summary of what's happening and what needs your attention." You choose how it reaches you:
- Email - on by default.
- Slack - delivers your brief to Slack. This needs your workspace's Slack connected first; until it is, turning Slack on prompts you to "Connect Slack from the Integrations tab" (see Connect Slack).
Your Daily brief choices are your own and apply to the workspace you're in - each person sets their own.
Notes & limits
- Reply notifications are per form; the Daily brief is per person, per workspace.
- These are notifications to your team about candidates - they're different from the messages you send to candidates (see Message candidates).
