Asking the AI about your data

Example questions you can ask the Ask AI assistant about candidates, forms, and metrics - and what it can't search.

What it is

Open Ask AI and ask in plain language about your hiring. It pulls real data from your workspace (within your access) and answers concisely.

Things you can ask

  • Counts & metrics - "How many candidates applied this week?", "What's the review rate for the Designer role?", "How many interviews did we do last month?"
  • Who's behind a number - "Who applied to the Engineer form?", "Who did we interview?", "Who did Sarah refer?"
  • A specific candidate - "Show me Jane's application", "What did this candidate say about salary?", "How did their interview go?", "What feedback did the interviewers leave?" - interview details and feedback work on any plan, within your access.
  • A form - "What questions does the Marketing role ask?", "How many are in Shortlisted?"
  • Drafting - "Draft a rejection message", "Write a JD for a backend role based on our past ones", "Draft outreach to this candidate."
  • It can only find candidates by name or email - not by company, form title, skill, school, or location. Use labels and filters on the Responses page for those kinds of cuts (see Search and filter candidates).
  • For data your plan/role can't access (e.g. workspace analytics without Business + Admin), it will tell you, rather than guess.

Tip

If you ask it to do something (move a candidate, send a message), it'll explain how and note that taking actions for you is coming soon - see What the AI assistant can do.
