What the AI assistant can do

The in-app "Ask AI" assistant answers questions about your candidates, forms, and metrics, and drafts text - but doesn't take actions yet.

What it is

Binary has an in-app AI assistant (Ask AI, bottom-right). It can look up and explain your workspace data, and draft text for you. It answers based on your role and plan, so it won't surface things you don't have access to.

What it can do

  • Find and show candidates by name or email - their stage, labels, answers, ratings, files.
  • Find and show forms - descriptions, questions, stages, submission counts.
  • Report analytics - workspace- or form-level numbers (submissions, review/response rates, interviews, feedback, referrals), and list the people behind a count (who applied, who was interviewed, who was referred).
  • Show a candidate's interview details and feedback - these no longer require the Business plan. On any plan, you can ask the assistant to pull up an interview or the feedback left on a candidate, within your role and access.
  • Read uploaded files (résumés) and draft text - e.g. write a JD from your past ones, or draft outreach from a candidate's profile.
  • It can show a "take me there" link to the right screen, or an upgrade prompt for Business features.

What it can't do (yet)

  • It can't take actions inside Binary - moving stages, sending messages, editing forms, or adding labels are coming soon. It can draft a message for you to send, but can't apply changes itself.
  • Candidate search matches name or email only - not company, title, skill, school, or location.

Also in Slack

On the Business plan you can ask Binary the same kinds of questions from Slack - see Connect Slack.
