Form widgets and closing date
Show a closing date, location, applicant count, and response-rate badges on a form's public application form.
What it is
Widgets are small badges Binary can show on a form's public application form (and your public page) to give candidates context. They're configured in the form editor.
The widgets
- Location - shows the form's location ("Show form location on the form"). Add one or more locations via the location control. (On by default.)
- Apply by {date} - a closing date shown to candidates, set from the editor.
- {N} Candidates - the number of candidates so far (only shown once it passes a threshold, so empty forms don't look empty).
- Responded to {X}% candidates - your response rate, shown only when it's above 80% (a trust signal). (On by default.)
Set them
Open the form in the editor (https://binary.so/forms/{identifier}/edit), then add/toggle
the widgets and set the location(s) and closing date. Changes save automatically and
appear on the public form.
Notes & limits
- Widgets are about what candidates see on the form - they don't change your pipeline.
- The closing date widget tells candidates the deadline; it doesn't by itself stop applications. To actually stop accepting, close the form (see Form statuses).
- The candidate-count and response-rate badges only appear once they cross their thresholds.
- Anyone with access to the form can configure widgets.
