Add a candidate manually
Add a candidate to a form yourself (e.g. someone you sourced), with or without an email.
What it is
You can add a candidate to a form yourself instead of waiting for them to apply - handy for people you sourced or got via another channel. They show up in the pipeline with the source "Added by admin."
Steps
- Open the form's Responses page.
- In the toolbar's ··· menu, click Add Candidate.
- In the Add candidate dialog, enter the candidate's name, optionally their email, and any answers to the form's questions. The dialog shows the same fields as the columns on the Responses table.
- Save. If someone with that email already exists on the form, you'll get a duplicate warning so you can avoid adding them twice.
Adding without an email
Email is optional when you add a candidate. But without an email you can't message them. You can attach an email later by editing the candidate (open them → edit) and adding it - after that, messaging works.
Editing a candidate
Open a candidate and choose Edit (from the ··· menu) to change their answers in the Edit candidate dialog. It shows the current form fields, plus any question this candidate already answered - including questions that have since been removed from the form. That way you can still see and edit those older answers instead of them being hidden.
Notes & limits
- Manually-added candidates are tagged "Added by admin" (visible as their source).
- To add many candidates at once, use import instead - see Import a form or a list of candidates.
- Anyone with access to the form can add candidates to it.
