Candidates

Add and manage labels

Create colored labels on a form and apply them to candidates to tag and organize them.

What it is

Labels are colored tags you attach to candidates to organize them (e.g. "Senior", "Referred", "Needs follow-up"). Labels are defined per form and can be applied to any candidate in that form. They're separate from stages (which track pipeline progress).

Apply a label to a candidate

  1. Open the form's Responses page.
  2. In the candidate's Labels cell (or with a candidate open, press the L shortcut), open the label picker.
  3. Tick an existing label to apply it, or type a new name and click Add '{name}' to create one on the spot.
  4. When creating a new label, pick a color from the palette. The label is created and applied to the candidate immediately.

Untick a label to remove it from that candidate. Changes apply right away.

Create, rename, recolor, or delete labels

Open Edit labels from the label picker to manage the form's full set of labels:

  • Rename a label by editing its text.
  • Recolor it by clicking its color dot and choosing a new color.
  • Delete a label - you'll be asked to confirm ("Are you sure?" / "Deleting this label will remove it from all places where it is being used.") → Confirm delete.

Notes & limits

  • Labels belong to a single form - they aren't shared across forms.
  • Deleting a label removes it from every candidate it was applied to.
  • Anyone with access to the form (its editors, including workspace Admins) can create and apply labels.
