Comments and notes (with @mentions)

Leave private internal notes on a candidate and @mention teammates to loop them in. Candidates never see these.

What it is

Comments are private, internal notes on a candidate - for your team to discuss a candidate. They're separate from messages: candidates never see comments. You can attach files and @mention teammates to notify them.

Add a comment

  1. Open the candidate (their detail view on the Responses page).
  2. In the comments area, type your note. You can attach a file.
  3. Post it. Your teammates with access to the form see it on the candidate; you can edit or delete your own comments.

@mention a teammate

While writing a comment, type @ and pick a teammate to mention them. The mentioned person gets notified and is pointed to that candidate - useful for "can you take a look?" hand-offs. You can only mention people who have access to the form (its editors).

Notes & limits

  • Comments are internal only - never shown to the candidate.
  • Only people with access to the form can read or add comments, and you can mention only those people.
  • To message the candidate themselves, use the message thread - see Message candidates.
